Eugene Walter Jones, Sr., 68, of Ivor, VA passed away September 8, 2012. He was born in Ivor, VA the son of the late Florence Lowe Jones and Leigh Brock Jones. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He retired after 42 years from Gwaltney's. Eugene was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved NASCAR.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Lynn Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Christopher Stewart of Smithfield, VA; son, Eugene W. Jones, Jr. of Ivor, VA; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Jean Harold.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dennis Hughes officiating.
