Ethel Virginia Nurney Harris, 88, passed away November 13, 2018.  She was born in Isle of Wight County, VA the daughter of the late Jack and Virginia Florence Gray Nurney.  She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Joe Henry Harris, Jr., and 5 brothers.

Ethel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie D. Pugh (Alan); sons, Joe H. Harris, III and Jimmie L. Harris; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Pippins (Sherman), Mildred Nurney; brother, Raleigh Ray Nurney.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Billy Gardner officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Memorial donations may be made to the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund at Mill Swamp Baptist Church C/O Howard Delk, 10346 Mill Swamp Rd.
