Obituary

Estes Nelson Page, 76, passed away March 1, 2015. He was born in Brunswick County, VA the son of the late Oscar C. and Nettie C. Page. He was predeceased by his sister, Anita P. Wright and brother, James B. Page. Estes was a United States Army veteran. He retired after 30 years as a conductor from Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Kings Fork Ruritan Club, American Legion Post #0141 for 24 years, and Portsmouth Moose Lodge #898 for over 40 years.

Estes is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha Wallace Page; sons, Douglas Nelson Page and his wife, Kathy Talley Page, and Stephen Estes Page; grandchildren, Audrey Ann Page, Michelle Wallace Page, and Rebecca Lynn Page; sister, Hazel P. Walker; brother, David H. Page and his wife, Sandy.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
