Estelle Thorne, 79, of Suffolk, VA 23434 passed away December 30, 2007. She was born in Isle of Wight County the daughter of the late Elsie Rollins Powell and William Powell. She retired from Birdsong Peanuts.

Estelle is survived by her husband of 54 years, Theo Thorne of Suffolk, VA; daughter, Betty A. Billups of Irving, TX; son, Michael Lee Thorne of Elberon, VA; grandchild, Michelle Lynn Thorne-Nichols of Capron, VA; great grandchildren, Alexzandera, Priscilla, Adam, Breanna, Robert, and Sara Nichols; brother, Floyd Powell of Suffolk, VA; grandson-in-law, Robert Mark Nichols; daughter-in-laws, Barbara R. Thorne and Teresia Thorne.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Woodland United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Roger D. Johnson officiating.
