Ernest "Ernie" Michael Leber, 53, passed away July 22, 2015. He was born in Chicago, IL to Johanna Erika Hall Leber and the late Ernst Leber. Ernie worked for 24 years as a chemist. Ernie was a loving husband and father and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He will be missed. Ernie loved researching the family tree and challenging his intellect with brain games. He was a member of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, was an avid runner and a member of the Suffolk Education Foundation. He was a chemistry tutor and a member of Team Hoyt.

Ernie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Andrea Christine Zürcher Leber; sons, David Andreas Leber, Marc Lukas Leber; mother, Johanna Erika Hall Leber; sister, Barbara L. Schlauri (Markus); brother Mario Leber (Liliane); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 6:30 pm at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA, 23434.
