Eric David Hutton, 68, loving husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2018.  He was born in Beckley, WVA, the son of the late Emmitt Henry Hutton and Colleen Delta Edwards Hutton.  He was a Lineman and Master Electrician that served at Ohio Power Co., as well as the Electrical Supervisor for the City of Norfolk for 35 years and owner of A1 Electric.

He grew up as a farmhand in the country, played football at Granby High School, and was a lifeguard with his brother. He enjoyed archery, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was a devoted theologian and a man after God's own heart.

Eric is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Alice M. Hutton; daughter, Dr. Erica Hutton; sons and daughter-in-law, David Hutton (Karina), Joseph Hutton; granddaughters, Christalina, Ellie Jo, and Emma; brothers, Garland and Wayland Hutton, and many family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Willis I. Dowling officiating.  The family will also greet friends prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be private at Riverside Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Home, 6171 Kempsville Circle, Norfolk, VA 23502.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
