Emmitt "Coca Cola" Douglas White, Jr., 66, of Suffolk passed away on March 15, 2010. A native of Gatesville, NC he was the son of the late Emmitt Douglas White, Sr. and Alice Missouri Winslow White. He retired from the Production Line at the Coca Cola Company, Suffolk Plant and was the former custodian and maintenance person at First Baptist Church. Doug was a charter member of Wilroy Baptist Church; a member of the Eastover-Wilroy Ruritans and Suffolk Moose Lodge #141.

Doug is survived by his sister, Novella E. White of Suffolk; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin Lee White and Margo Anne Pressley White of Suffolk; niece, Allison Docia White of CA and aunt, Agnes W. Ross of Suffolk.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilroy Baptist Church, 306 Williams Road, Suffolk with Rev. Charles W. Thompson and Rev. Raymond E. Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
