Emma "Jane" Louise Brown, 80, passed away April 22, 2015. She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Mills H. and Emma B. McClenny. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward P. Brown; sisters, Daisy, Elsie, Nell Dean, and Lillie Mae; and brothers, Wallace and Lonnie.

Jane is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Benjamin "Benjie" R. Copeland, III (Joyce), Sammy Snead (Connie), Jessie Snead (Shirley), Gary Snead (Tammy); 9 grandchildren and their spouses, April Griffith (Jerry), Jason Copeland (Amy), Brittany Copeland, Jessica Slaba (Tony), Michael Snead (Stephanie), Matthew Snead, Zach Snead, Hannah Snead, and Madison Snead; 6 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Scooter, Nicholas, Caroline, and Hayslee; sister, Emily Umphlette; and special friend, Fennon Turner.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Basil "Buzz" Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Friday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at her residence.
