Emily Terry passed away quietly in her home surrounded by her loved ones on July 23, 2010. She was born in Laslo, Poland on April 21, 1927 the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Stahurska. Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Terry. She was a hard worker. Everyone was always welcome at her table and her family was her full joy in life especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by Barbara and James Nixon, Jr., their children, Jay Nixon, Matthew Nixon, and Marshall Nixon; Marrion and Thomas Beers, their children, Tom Beers, Emily Kerwood, and Ellen Beers; David and Debbie Terry, their children, David Terry, Jr. and Douglas Terry; John Terry, children, J.D. Terry, Ashley Terry, Stephenie Love, Taylor Terry and Mitchell Terry; and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Hank Teague officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
