Emily Dorothy Shildt, 18, of Suffolk, passed away on April 9, 2008. A native of Suffolk, VA, she was attended Southside Baptist Church and worked in food service at Wendy's Restaurant.

Her family shares these words about Emily: "Our Emily is now safe, being held in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will always be loved and remembered as a beautiful daughter, sister, and friend. Emily loved her family and friends. The pain we feel at her loss is beyond measure. We thank God that His love and comfort are much greater. Emily was the most humble, creative and accepting person we know. She loved to write and paint and made the best sandwiches ever. Emily will live through us forever."

Still here to love and cherish her are: her mother, Anne Shildt; her father, Lloyd Shildt; two sisters, Dana Shildt and Amber and Mark Rojas; and three brothers, William and Nataly Shildt, Erik and Naden Shildt and Jeffrey Shildt; and grandparents, Nils and Dorothy Sanden; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Southside Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. R. Stewart McCarter, followed by interment at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
