Emily Jean Munford Atkins, 89, of Windsor, VA passed away February 8, 2017. She was born in Hopewell, VA to the late Matthew and Susie Munford. She is also predeceased by her husband, Lonnie Robert Atkins, Jr. Jean was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church.

Jean is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Mary Atkins and Robert and Nora Atkins; grandchildren, Joshua Atkins, Lauren Powell and Lizzy Powell; and sisters, Betty Lou Hicks and Lelia Winn.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Central Hill Baptist Church, 10270 Central Hill Rd., Windsor, VA 23487 with Pastor Brad Jones and Pastor Robert Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434.
