Emily Leigh Gingras, 90, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 20, 2010. She was born in Virginia the daughter of the late Mary Jones Bowden and Willie K. Bowden. She was predeceased by her sisters, Martha B. Oliver, Florence B. Hines, and Dorothy B. Kinsey; and brother, William Bowden. Emily retired after many years as a bookkeeper for Montgomery Wards. She was a member of Suffolk Presbyterian Church.

Emily is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Alfred Gingras; numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:45 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery with Chaplain Tommy Reynolds officiating. Friends may join the family prior to the service on Tuesday at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory from 11 to 11:30 a.m. for a time of viewing and visitation.
