Ellen Ronaldson Hurst, 83, passed away November 29, 2012. She was born in Stratford, NJ the daughter of the late John and Lucy Ronaldson. She was predeceased by her husband, Shirley Owens Hurst. Ellen retired from the Virginia Beach School System in the Food Service Department. She was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church and was a part of the Timothy group there. She was a member of Windsor's Woman's Club.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Anne Tooley of Windsor; son and daughter-in-law, John and Teresa Hurst of Carrsville; grandchildren, Sarah, Stephen, and Lydia; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Joe Johnson of Green Pond, NJ; sister-in-law, Harriett Ann Williams of Virginia Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church with Will Lee and Chaplain Phil Holwager officiating. Burial will be held prior to the service at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. A time of visitation will be held Sunday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.
