Ella Downy Jenkins, 86, of Hassell, NC passed away March 11, 2011. She was born in North Carolina the daughter of the late Mary Sue Downy and Lewis Downy. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Raymond Jenkins, Sr.

Ella is survived by her daughters, Peggy Keel of Hassell, NC, Shelby Ward of Courtland, VA; sons, Raymond Jenkins, Jr. of Wilson, NC, Earnest Jenkins of Robersonville, NC, Louis Jenkins of Tazewell, VA, Collie Ray Jenkins of Windsor, NC, Tink Jenkins of Williamston, NC; host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Woodland United Methodist Church with Pastor Chuck Worth officiating. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Monday night from 6-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA .
