Elizabeth Ann Ellis Tew, 73, passed away September 15, 2023.  She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late William Ashley Ellis and Dorothy Elizabeth Butler Ellis.  She was predeceased by her son, Carl Ellis Strickland, brother, Thomas Turner, Jr., and sisters, Vivian Griggs and Brenda Boyce.  Elizabeth retired as a manager for 7-11.  She was a member of Radiant Life Ministries where she was a greeter, prayer chain leader, and former Sunday school teacher.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 39 years, Harvey Franklin Tew II; son, Carlton Britt Strickland, Jr.; stepdaughter, Christina Elizabeth Glover; grandchildren, Jacob, Reagan, Ondrea, and Kendra; sisters, Evelyn Whitehead, and Wanda Rountree (Steve); brother, David Lee Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Radiant Life Ministries with Rev. Don Milner and Rev.
