Elizabeth (Betty) Joyce Fenyo, 94, passed from earth to heaven on February 10, 2021. She was born and raised in Honesdale, PA, the daughter of the late Norman Bodie and Isabelle Bryant Bodie. She was predeceased by her first husband of 30 years, Herman Edward (Ed) Allemand; her second husband of 10 years, Carol Fenyo; and brothers, Robert and Raymond Bodie.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Cheryl L. Ashley (Glenn Barry); son, Gary E. Allemand (Barbara); grandchildren, Brian Ashley (Janet), Jennifer Smith, Scott Allemand (Kristen), Matthew Allemand (Danielle); and great grandchildren, Ricky, Logan, Gavin, and Olivia.

Betty moved from Honesdale, PA to Newark, NJ during World War II where she worked as a bookkeeper. There she met and married Ed Allemand. They moved to Packanack Lake in Wayne, NJ and resided there many years. She moved to Suffolk, VA 3 years ago.

Betty retired as a bookkeeper for Packanack Lake Country Club in Wayne, NJ. She was a member of Packanack Community Church where she was involved in many areas of ministry. Betty loved to sew bed rolls for the homeless and knit prayer shawls for those with special prayer needs. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking and gardening.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Reverends Angela and Dale Claiborne officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Packanack Community Church, 120 Lake Drive East, Wayne, NJ 07470 or the Alzheimer's Association.
