Edythe Hope Bond Carter, 96, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. She was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Ella Adams and Oliver Bond. She is also predeceased by her husband, Paul Carter and grandson, Lawrence Brooks. She retired after 40 years working as a statistician for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Edythe is survived by her daughters, Betty C. Saunders and fiance, Ronald Thompson and Paula C. Dorn and husband, Pete; grandson, Stuart Saunders; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edythe's graveside service will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in Windsor Cemetery with Pastor John Corson officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Autism Speaks.
