Edythe Alice "Alicia" Bowman, 63, of Smithfield, passed away January 18, 2013. She was born in Killarney, WV to the late Edward Jenkins Shafer and Delia Marie Donado Shafer.

Alicia is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ricky L. Bowman; sons and daughters-in-law, Wyatt S. and Kimberly Bowman and Ty C. and Angela Bowman; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Tyler, and Mathew; sisters, Jenny Ballou and Roseanna Pack; and brother, Tom Shafer.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 12 noon, at Good Shepherd Church, 300 Smithfield Blvd., Smithfield, VA 23430 with Father Oscar Paraiso officiating. Interment will be at St. Luke's Memorial Park followed by a reception at the church.
