Edwin Hatten Winkers III, 80, passed away December 24, 2024.  Edwin was born in Williamsport, PA the son of the late Edwin Hatten Winkers, Jr. and Dorothy Carol Jones Winkers.  He was predeceased by son, Edwin Hatten Winkers IV and sister, Audrey Matthews.  Edwin was a retired elevator service Tech with General Elevator.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked on B-52's while in the service.

Edwin is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Lee Shiflett Winkers; daughters, Christene Stallings, Beth-Ann Gannaway (Steve); step-sons, Joseph Lee Goodwin (Gracie), Christopher Michael Kelley; grandchildren, Kyle Winkers, Courtney Stallings, Shauna Gannaway, Trent Sabato, Timothy, Goodwin, Justin Goodwin, Brandon Goodwin, Jewelia Kelley, Gabriel Kelley, Chris Kelley, Elena Kelley; great grandchildren, Aiden Powell, Addie Powell and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with David Joyner and Tim Bateman officiating.  Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
