Edward Allen Mason Jr, 70 of Ivor, Virginia, passed away on July 8, 2023. He was born in Hampton, VA to the late Elma Dean Bryant and Edward A. Mason Sr. He is also predeceased by his wife, Margaret "Janie" Persinger Mason; son, Stephen Allen Mason; and granddaughter, Kaleigha Paige Mason.

He served in the US Marine Corps , and worked in Zoning for the City of Hampton until his retirement. He had a huge heart and had a gift for making you smile and giving the warmest hugs.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Crystal Lynn Mason of Ivor, VA; son, Edward A. "Shane" Mason III of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Nathan, Eli, Caleb, Jett, and Brylee Mason; great grandchildren, Joshua (JT) Benton, Zora Mason, and Elizabeth Hoopaw; sister, Teresa Bracey Adams (Leslie) of Chesapeake, VA; brother, Douglas Wayne Mason (Judi) of San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews, with special thanks to Ricky Bracey and Megan Bracey Demsko for all they did for Uncle Eggie.

Eddie's graveside service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Ivor Cemetery with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
