Edward "Pete" Herbert Harrell, Jr., 83, passed away January 10, 2025.  He was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Edward Herbert Harrell, Sr. and Charlotte Mae Crosswhite Harrell.  He was predeceased by his niece, Krista Eddy Harrell.

Pete is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne Lee Goodwin Harrell; daughter, Laura Anne Tiller; sons, Jeffrey Wayne Harrell and partner, Gus Braga Harrell, Thomas Christopher Harrell and wife, Jennifer Amanda Harrell; grandchildren, Alex Harrell, Drew Harrell, and Olivia Tiller; brothers, Samuel "Sam" Thomas Harrell and wife, Linda; brother-in-law, Claude Goodwin and wife, Carol Starmack; and niece and nephews, Hill Goodwin, Russell Harrell and Tim Harrell, and adopted daughter, Amber Patterson Lewis.

For those who knew Pete well, his legend will live on forever.  He had many loves in life second to his wife, Anne Lee, love of family, friends, faith, and life.  He was spotted as a diamond in the rough while selling furniture at Fivel Furniture and began a lifelong career in the insurance industry.  He was a passionate, consummate insurance professional, qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table for over 40 years, earning the designation of Life and Qualifying Member.  He went on to become a Main Platform speaker, an honor and designation not easily earned, qualifying for dozens of conventions allowing him and his wife to travel the world.  He will be remembered as an eternal optimist just like his favorites, Clint E, Jimmy V, and Neil D.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
