Edna Mae Stafford,90,of Suffolk, VA passed away on February 18, 2009. A native of Aulander, NC she was the daughter of the late Skidmore Nichols and Melissa Terry Nichols. She was also predeceased by her husband, Charlie E. Stafford and five children: Gayle Ramona Stafford, Frances Naomi Vick, Millie Gene McClenny, Robert Franklin Stafford and Arthur Wood Stafford. Edna was a floor person at Birdsong Peanuts for 36 years, Tidewater Blanching for 16 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Suffolk.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Faye Winstead and her husband Mike of Virginia Beach; sons, Henry Wilson Stafford and his wife, Nita of Chesapeake, William Floyd Stafford and his wife Kim of Hampton, Douglas Ray Stafford of Suffolk, Charles Lee Stafford of Chesapeake and M. Keith Stafford and wife Christy of Chesapeake; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk with Rev. Charles W. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
