Edna Leggett Smith "Toots" a native of Suffolk, VA born March 6, 1938 passed away July 4, 2018 holding hands with her loving husband, Gene E. Smith surrounded by their love for one another and faith.  Edna retired as a bookkeeper for Kramer Properties who became family and the Cinema Cafe where she worked for their several business entities and partners for more than 40 years holding various positions.

Edna is predeceased by her father and mother; her eldest daughter, Yvonne Smith Curling; her eldest son, Harvey "Jimbo" Smith; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.  In addition to her husband she is survived by her mother-in-law, Estelle Smith, daughter, Theresa Richardson and husband, Steve; sons and daughters-in-law, Ted Smith and wife, Bonnie, Joseph Troy Smith and wife, Carrie, Steven Smith and wife, Michelle.  Her legacy lives on through her 26 grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is survived by 3 sisters, Ann, Lucille, and Jean.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery with Pastor Jamey Stuart officiating.  The family will receive friends and family at the home of Gene and Edna Smith following the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Believer's Church Building Fund, the American Cancer Society, or The American Heart Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
