Edith Hunter Powell, 90, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Carndley and Elton Hunter. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Sydney Powell; daughter, Sylvia Fowler (George); son, Homer Powell (Ginny); brothers, Edwin and Jarvis Hunter. She is survived by her son," Tommy" Powell (Linda); sister, Irene Brinkley; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church with Rev. Matt Winters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial donations may be made to the church building fund.
