Edgar Francis Chandler, Jr., 53, of Suffolk, VA passed away on July 2, 2009. A native of Queens, NY he was the son of Mary Ann Chandler and the late Edgar Francis Chandler, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the New York City Police Department. Edgar was a member of The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk and a member of the Police Benevolent Association.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Chandler; his mother Mary Ann Chandler; one daughter, Misha; three sons, Jason, Brandon and Shawn; sisters, Delores, Kay Francis, Paula, Susan and Joyce; brother Steven and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 12:00 noon at The Basilica of St. Mary Immaculate Conception, 232 Chapel Street, Norfolk, VA with Father Ernest Bulinda officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk.
