Dudley Joe Edwards, Sr., 75, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on June 8, 2022.  He was born in Surry, VA the son of the late William Thomas Edwards and Mary Dickerson Edwards.  He was predeceased by his son, Dudley "Joey" Edwards, Jr. and his grandson, Joseph Butt Edwards.  Joe retired as a farmer and was known by all as the Nuts and Bolts Man.

Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frances Leggett Edwards; daughter, Lisa Edwards; grandchildren, Johnathan S. Copeland, Taylor M. Copeland (Nathan), and Britney Edwards; great grandchild, Mason Edwards Jones; sisters, Evelyn Bristow, Helen Pittman, Edith Jean, and Toni Shank (Jim); brother, Paul Edwards (Mildred); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Hunter officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday from 3 - 4 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Memorial donations may be made to Rivers United Church, 27650 Walters Hwy., Carrsville, VA 23315.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
