Drema Irene Mays Ledford Morris, 85, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2023.  Drema was born on July 31, 1938 in Covington, VA the daughter of the late Charles Houston and Mary Irene Paitsel Mays.  Drema graduated in 1956 from Churchland High School and attended Nyack Missionary College (Nyack College) for 1 ½ years.  She was a legal secretary for 28 years, a secretary for Greensville Correctional Center and an interviewer for the Virginia Employment Commission.  Drema is a former member of Portsmouth Alliance Church and Forest Hill Baptist Church and a current member of Faith Alliance Church in Lynchburg, VA. She is predeceased by husbands Herman Oscar Ledford, Joseph William Morris; son, Charles Hayes Ledford; brother, Charles Houston Mays, Jr; and sister, Mary Katherine "Kathie" Mays Jones.

Drema is survived by daughters, Drema Jean "DJ" Ledford (Robin Snyder), Cynthia "Cindy" Eunata Donaldson (John Samuel Donaldson); son, Rex Edward Ledford (Heather Comerford Ledford); granddaughters, Amanda Nicole Donaldson, Kayleigh Renee Ledford; great grandsons, Talyn, Jakob and Hunter Donaldson; sisters, Patsy Delores Mays Russo, Ruth Christella Mays "Christy" Daniel, and Maranatha Dawn Mays Lesoine; special cousin, Marlene Hanna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastor Yossi, Faith Alliance, Lynchburg presiding.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
