Obituary

Dorthy Boykin Gregory, 89, passed away June 28, 2024.  She was born in Jacksonville, FL the daughter of the late Homer Jackson Boykin and Edith Masters Boykin.  She was predeceased by her husband, Lesley "Bo" Gregory; and brother and sister-in-law, Glenwood and Myrtle Boykin.  Dorthy retired as a quality control supervisor for Parker Peanut Company.  She was a member of Lighthouse Ministries.  Dorthy loved the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.  Her favorite things to do were spending time with her family especially watching the grandkids play ball, rain or shine.  She loved her community and loved seeing everyone every year at the Peanut Fest.

Dorthy is survived by her daughter, Edith Wilkie (Jackie); sons, Charles F. Gregory Sr. (Eve), and Ricky L. Gregory Sr. (Sharon); grandchildren, Christopher Snyder, Melanie Rivers, Charles F. "C.J." Gregory Jr., Travis Gregory, Brandie Gregory, Rick Gregory Jr., Cameron Gregory, and Darbi Gregory; great grandchildren, Zoey, Jason, Hannah, Tristin, Emily, Liam, Aayden, Dalton, Bayleigh, Camden, Lesley, and Lainey; great great grandchildren, Katelynn and Jade; brother, Franklin Boykin (Patricia); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Howard Small officiating.  Burial will be private at Holly Lawn Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
