Dorothy Sylvia Zamponi Dawson, 96, peacefully passed away November 13, 2023.  She was born in Scranton, PA the daughter of the late August Zamponi and Mary Santolini Zamponi.  She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, John Lee Dawson, Sr. and her son, Dennis Michael Dawson.  Dorothy retired after 23 years from the FBI Identification Department.  She was a member of St. Mary's of the Presentation Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by her son, John L. Dawson, Jr. (Vickie); grandchildren, Jennifer Dawson, Erin L. Gall (John), and Jessie D. Guest (David); great grandchildren, Cadi Gall and Emma Guest; nephew, James Evans (Carol).
