Dorothy Earlene Oliver Bailey, 86, passed away September 2, 2023.  She was born in Suffolk, VA the daughter of the late Ray Parker Oliver and Virginia Dorothy Lankford Carr.  She was predeceased by her husband George W. Bailey.  Dorothy retired as a sales associate for JCPenney.  She was a member of Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church.  She enjoyed duckpin bowling for numerous years.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, George Ray Bailey (Renee) and Randy Bailey (Kelly); grandchildren, Ray Bailey Jr., Justin Bailey, Sarah Bailey, Cal Bailey (Katie), Cole Bailey (Madison), Lauryn Bailey, Meghan Bailey, and Derek Bailey.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
