Dorothy Shryer Moore, 87, of Newport News, VA, passed away on May 16, 2008. A native of Mechanicsville, NY, she was the daughter of John Russell Shryer and Mary Tucker Shryer. She was also predeceased by her husband, Barry Junior Moore and her sister, Helen Munford. Dorothy was in retail sales for many years, first at Miller and Rhodes and in later years both Hechts and Macy's Department Stores. She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist and the Young at Heart Club.

Dorothy is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney S. and Charlotte Barnes and Michael T. and Maggie Barnes; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. 2008 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Rob Edwards officiating.
