Dorothy "Dot" Graves Ruth, 84, passed away June 7, 2016. She was born in Charlottesville, VA to the late Forrest William Graves and Catherine Helen Hutchinson Graves. Dot was predeceased by her brother Roy Graves and grandson Yance Ruth. She was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Dot is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bruce Ruth, Sr.; sons, Wayne Alan Ruth (Inga), Roy Douglas Ruth (Shelvia), William Scott Ruth (Joanie), Bruce Franklin Ruth, Jr. (Carolyn); five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Gibson, Katie Shifflett, Shirley Mayo; brother, Forrest Graves, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Ruffin Alphin officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cynthia Gray for her loving care of Dot.
