Dorothy Louise Johnson Brinkley, 81, of Suffolk, VA, passed away November 14, 2011. She is the daughter of the late Tollie C. Johnson and Erma M. Johnson Sexton. She is also predeceased by her husband of 64 years Raleigh Earl Brinkley. Dorothy retired from Thomas J. Lipton Co. after 25 years of service and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. Dorothy was a member of Eureka Baptist Church and the Ida K. Brinkley Sunday School Class.


She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan B. and Henry DeLucchi, Carol B. and Mark Bradshaw, Joanne B. and David Reid; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret J. Smith and Cozetta Johnson.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Eureka Baptist Church, 1601 N Carolina Hwy 32 N Corapeake, NC 27926, with Rev. Mickey Willard and Rev. Cameron Currin officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434.
