Dorothy Russell Augustine, 74, of Windsor, VA passed away on April 16, 2010. A native of Mecklenburg County, VA she was the daughter of the late Alma Pearl Evans Russell and Clinton B. Russell. Dorothy worked in Accounts Payable at Obici Hospital for 25 years, was a loving babysitter and cared for neighbors for many years. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Zuni.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles L. "Butch" Augustine, Jr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann B. Owens (Linwood) of Windsor; a son, Jimmie P. Bunch, II (Melanie) of Portsmouth; step daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki Saunders (J.R.) of Massachusetts and Jennifer McNeily of Florida; grandchildren, Andrew Owens (Elizabeth), Melissa Gardner (Raymond), Dakota Holland, Brennan Turner; great grandchild, Elijah Owen Gardner; sisters, Jane R. Eley of Chesapeake and Margaret Bare of Norfolk.

A graveside service will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas Van Niel and the Rev. Millford Rollins officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. and other times at the residence.
