Doris Stallings Perry, 86, passed away on December 28, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late William D. Stallings and Mary Hofler Stallings of Perquimans County, NC.  Doris graduated from Perquimans High School in Hertford, NC in 1957.  She attended Louisburg College in Louisburg, NC.  She worked as a bookkeeper for many years for various companies in the Suffolk area.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Starkie E. Perry, Sr.; brothers, William Linford Stallings and Ernest C. Stallings.  She is survived by her daughter, Doris Hope Perry; step-son, S.E. Perry, Jr. and his wife, Susan.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Liberty Spring Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Res Spears and Pastor Carl Dunlow officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church.  Memorial donations may be made to Liberty Spring Christian Church.  Parr Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
