Don Ivan Crawley, 65, of Suffolk, beloved father and husband, passed away on September 11, 2018.  A native of Norfolk, VA he was the son of the late Jack Clinton Crawley and Mary Vellar Nunn Crawley.  He was predeceased by his son, William Crawley.  Don was a highly decorated Army Vietnam Veteran who had been awarded our country's highest honors by being awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star "V" for Valor.  Mr. Crawley was disabled from injuries sustained during his military service and subsequently died for our country because of those injuries.  Don went on to work at the Metro Machine Shipyard for many years after his military service.

Don is survived by his wife of 26 years, Beth Ann Crawley; daughter, Stacy Lorraine Crawley Nearhoof; son, Charles Clinton Crawley; grandchildren, Sabian Crawley, Asia Rain Crawley, Brianna Nearhoof, Levi Nearhoof, Bella Nearhoof; great grandson, Bently Crawley; and brothers, Bill Crawley and Gene Crawley.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Tim Cormany officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SGT Jayton D.
