Dianna Jane
Horn Yesensky
March 21, 1951 – January 29, 2026
Dianna Jane Horn Yesensky, 74, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away January 29, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard John Yesensky. Dianna was born in Bluefield, WV, the daughter of Ramon N. Horn and Hester Mae Horn. She was a masterful storyteller who could weave a tale together on the spot as she regaled her audience of children and adults alike. Her life was a rich story of wisdom, compassion, and sacrifice. She retired from a career of teaching in the public school system, where she cherished pouring into children who faced different kinds of learning challenges. Following her retirement, Dianna volunteered as a tutor with the local prison, was the primary caregiver of her ailing sister, a family friend, and her husband. Somehow she found time to enrich her life with participation in her church's choir, spending time with her family throughout Virginia and Hawaii and entertaining her grandchildren. She treasured the history of her family heritage, her husband's military career, and the story of America. However, her greatest joy was found in sharing the love of her Savior, Jesus Christ by serving others. Dianna has left a legacy in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Although this chapter in her story is concluded, we know that her eternal story is continuing at the feet of the King she adored and worshiped.
Dianna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Yesensky Chang (Peter); grandchildren, Gwendolyn-Rae Chang and Josiah Chang; sisters, Rita (George), Elizabeth (John), and Susan (Ken); and numerous nieces and nephews.
