Diana Piland Schadel Baines, 73, passed away August 26, 2016. She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late Harry F. and H. Irene Piland Schadel. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Diana is survived by her husband of 49 years, Talmage Forrest Baines; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Baines Vaz (Cedric), Kathleen Baines Lamaker (Robbert); son, David Piland Baines; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred Schadel Stone (Roger); brother and sister-in-law, Calvin Beck Schadel (Joyce); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
