Dennis Ray Greene, Sr., 60, of Suffolk, VA passed away December 18, 2010. He was born in Gates Co., NC the son of the late Isaac Junious Greene and Nellie Russell Greene. He was predeceased by his wife, Carrie Evans Greene; sister, Martha Louise Casper; and brothers, Jesse Greene and William Isaac Greene. He worked as a tree climber for Ashton Lewis Tree Service.

Dennis is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis Ray Greene, Jr. and Cheryl Marie Greene of Gatesville, NC, and William M. Greene of Gates, NC; grandchildren, Alexandria Nicole Greene, Branden Isaac Greene; sister, Betty Bean, Deborah Jolly, Rosa Hollowell; brothers, Archie Greene, Randell Greene, and Earl Greene.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Further time of fellowship will follow the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery.
