Obituary

Dennie Ray Duke, 67, passed away on October 13, 2012. He was born September 16, 1945 in Suffolk, Virginia to the late Joseph Henry Duke and Olivia Byrd Duke.
Dennie was a member of Holland Christian Church. He was also a U.S. National Guard Veteran, and retired as a production controller from SUPSHIP Portsmouth. Dennie was very involved in the community and was a member at the Suffolk Masonic Lodge #30, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Suffolk Elks Lodge, Past President of the Local 393 Sheet Metal Workers Union, Black Creek Hunt Club, Boogie on the Bay Shag Club and the Navy Civilian Managers Association.

He is survived by his special friends Pam Broughton and Wayne and Cathy Stancell, his aunt, Barbara Wiggins and numerous others.

Graveside service will be held Monday, October 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Holland Cemetery by Rev. Allen Lancaster. A time of visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday evening, October 14, 2012, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434.
