Denise Newman Walker, 67, passed away on November 1, 2025. She was born in Nansemond Co, VA to the late Rachel Bristow DeBenedictis and Edward Newman. She is also predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Clifton William "Bill" Walker Sr; sister, Patricia King; niece, Jody King; nephew, Corey Achstein; and loving partner, Thom Mixon. She worked as a bookkeeper for Parker Oil & Propane. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and served on the Suffolk Republican Party Committee.

Denise is survived by her daughter, Lisa Shannon; granddaughters, Emily Foster and Allison Shannon; stepson, William Walker; sisters, Lynne Cooke (John), Laura Jackson, and Lou Ellen Bass (Brian); brother, Timothy DeBenedictis; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews; and fur family members, Max and Baby.
