Delores Kay Daughtrey Cook, 65, passed away July 8, 2017.  She was born in Portsmouth, VA the daughter of the late James Ralph Daughtrey and Ruby Clarine Daughtrey.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald Wayne Daughtrey and Lee Underwood.  She worked as a manager for Checkers Restaurant.

Delores is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph "Scussy" Franklin Cook, Sr.; daughters, Dawn Cook (Buck), Kim Cook (Andy); sons, Joe Jr. Cook, Jamie Cook (Christy);  grandchildren, J.J., Lil Rog, Lexis, Hunter, Austin, Cole, Brooke, Tyler, and Blake; great grandchildren, Jayden, Braylen, and Colton; sister, Doris Jones, brother, David Daughtrey.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery with Dr. John D. Corson officiating.  Friends may also join the family following the service at the home of Dawn Cook for further time of fellowship.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
