Deleta "Dee" Ann Christensen, 71, passed away on April 12, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Christopher Paul Christensen; daughter, Christii Watkins and Michael of Darnestown, MD; son, Christopher A. Christensen of Leesburg, FL; grandson, Christopher R. Christensen of Lynchburg, VA; sister, Dianne Gordon of The Villages, FL.

Dee was born in Welch, WV, but as the wife of a Navy man, lived many places including Guam, Cape Hatteras, Colorado, and Greece, to name a few. Dee loved fishing and her weekly card and board games with her beloved friends she met at the YMCA. As a LPN for both Frederick, MD and Suffolk, VA health depts., she would travel all around helping people in need. Dee's heart was full of love as she was devoted to God, family and friends. Although we all miss her deeply, we view this time as a celebration of her new life.

Deleta's visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2016 from 3-4 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory 3515 Robs Dr, Suffolk, VA 23434. Her service will follow at 4 p.m. with Ray Christensen, Jr. officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Cancer Care Foundation of Tidewater P.O.
