Deborah Jean Nowell Lesner, 62, of Windsor, VA passed away on May 30, 2010. A native of North Carolina, she was the daughter Thelma Evans Nowell and the late Cecil Lee Nowell. She was also predeceased by a brother, Cecil R. Nowell.

Besides her mother she is survived by her daughters, Cathy Covey of Margaretsville, NC and Christina Kastenhuber of Wilmington, NC; son, James Williams Howell, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren; sisters, Marsha Martin and Diane Collier; and brother, William B. Nowell.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Byron McCreary officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
