David Eugene Stables, 62, left his earthly home on January 2, 2019.  He was born on July 17, 1956 in Pearisburg, VA.  He was the son of the late Alfred J. and Helen K. Stables.  He left behind his loving wife of 31 years, Kay; precious daughters, Kellie and Kristen (Kyle); and grandchildren who he adored, Bailey and Charlie.  His siblings included Donna Davis (Doug), Karen Staples (Dallas), Teresia Kerr (Walter), Terri Dickerson; Sherry Fisher (Gary), and Scott Stables (Michelle).  Also left behind are a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

David was a master of many trades.  He worked for 35 years at Amadas Industries.  He later went on to work and retire from Bauer Compressors.  He spent many hours in his shop where he loved working and spending time with special friends.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Darwin Edwards officiating.  Friends may join the family other times at the residence.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
