David E. Ramey, Sr., 70, of Suffolk, passed away June 17, 2012 in the comfort of his lake home. A native of Freeburn, KY, he was the son of the late Otto and Rose Ramey. He retired from NNSY Shop 17 in 2008. Other than his family, his great love in life was camping, fishing, playing guitar, and helping others. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic church.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 46 years, Pat Ramey; children, Beth Wiggs, Charlotte White & Mike, David Ramey, Jr. & Barbara; his precious granddaughters Megan, Hannah & Lauren; sisters Margie Gent, Estella Bond & Richard, & Marie Hutchison; brothers Paul Ramey & Carolyn, Donald Ramey & Sara; Evert Ramey & Edith, Marvin Ramey & Judy; sister-in-law Cheryl Ramey; & many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Raymond Ramey & son-in-law Mike Wiggs.

An "outdoor" Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 22nd, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the family's home. Father Kevin O'Brien will begin the service at 5:00 p.m. Please park at Parr Funeral Home, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk VA 23434 with continuous shuttle service provided .
