Daniel T. Phelps, 58, passed away July 6, 2012. He was born in Suffolk, VA, the son of Doug I. Phelps and the late Bessie (Stella) Rowell. In addition to working as a sound engineer for many years, he used his talents in cabinetry and wood working.

Daniel is survived by wife, Sherry Phelps; daughters, Brooke Phelps, Dara Dunn, Stephanie Weinstein, Rebecca Schenk and husband, Matthew, and Deborah Perry and husband, Newman; grandchildren, Danny, Emma, and Zachary, all of Suffolk; father, Douglas I. Phelps and wife, Ann of Windsor; sister, Lynnette Hefley of Tampa, FL; brothers, Douglas L. Phelps of Rustburg, VA and Roger Terry Phelps of Suffolk, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Tim Rawls officiating. Burial will be private following the service. Friends may join the family Sunday night from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association at P.O.
