Dan Evans Dailey, Sr., 74, passed away May 30, 2018.  He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late John Melton "Mutt" Dailey, Sr. and Hattie Joyner Dailey.  He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Alan Dailey; twin grandchildren, Christopher Scott Dailey, Jr. and Carol Marie Dailey; and brother, John Melton Dailey, Jr.  Dan was the co-owner of his father's grocery store, Dailey's Supermarket, and ran it with his brother, Melton Dailey.  He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and the Suffolk Elks Lodge.

Dan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Holland Dailey; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan Evans Dailey, Jr. (Denise), Christopher Scott Dailey (Kim); grandchild, Jeffrey Scott Dailey; great grandchild, Isaiah Butner; mother-in-law, Martha Holland; sister-in-law, Mary Emily Dailey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Suffolk Christian Church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
