Daisy Bell Carr Pope, 78, passed away May 22, 2016. She was born in Nansemond County, VA the daughter of the late James Joshua Carr and Theressa Luke Carr. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton H. Pope; grandson, Timmy Pope; daughter-in-law, Karen V. Pope; sister, Irene Mays; and brothers, Junior, Stanley, Wilson, Edward, William, and James Carr. Daisy formerly worked in the meat department at Fresh Pride. She was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.

Daisy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen Marie Pope Griffin and Larry C. Griffin; sons and daughters-in-law, Clayton H. Pope, Jr. and Laura P. Pope, Gary Ray and Judy A. Pope, Ronald Glen Pope, Samuel Todd Pope, Sr. and Lisa B. Pope; grandchildren, Karen (Chris), Kimberly (Brian), Amy (Jon), Jason, Todd, Jr. (Amy), Tommy (Kristen), Erin (Kevin), Andrew, Daniel, Amanda (Chris), Samantha, and Mattie; great grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth, Emmy, Brooklyn, Cheyenne, Ayden, Charlie, Griffin, Cierra, Kirsten, Joey, Rhiannon, Kyleigh, River; brothers, Miles N. Carr (Barbara), Shirley Lee Carr, and Douglas R. Carr.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Garland K. Hines, Jr. officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence of Helen and Larry Griffin.
