Obituary

Curtis Elwood Nichols, 85, passed away January 3, 2018.  He was born in Edgecombe Co., NC the son of the late Ross J. and Velner C. Nichols.  Curtis was a United States Army veteran.  He later went on to work and then retire as a supervisor from Lipton Tea Company.  He was a member of Earlys Baptist Church.  He was also a member of the Tidewater Bee Club, Sons of the Confederacy Tom Smith Camp #1702.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose Gray Nichols; daughters, Teresa Ann Moloian, Patricia Nichols Phelps; like a son, Newman Perry; sisters, Frances Futrell, Barbara Mulder, and Delores Earley; brothers, Joseph and Jesse Nichols; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens. 109 Ward Rd, Ahoskie, NC 27910.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or Earlys Baptist Church, American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
